Mindset and focus
Mindset is not about pretending everything is fine.
It is about noticing what happens when fear, doubt or discomfort appears, then learning how to stay with yourself instead of letting the mind take over.
That matters in the ice bath, but it also matters in everyday life. Stress, pressure, anxiety and overwhelm all ask the same question: can you stay steady when something feels difficult?

Optional cold exposure
Cold exposure is always optional.
If you choose to take part, Sue will prepare you properly and guide you through it safely. The aim is not to sit in cold water for as long as possible. The aim is to experience staying calm when your body is under pressure.
For many people, this is the moment they realise the fear was bigger in their mind than it was in reality.
They use their breath, steady themselves and realise they can do it.
Frequently asked questions
Why people feel different afterwards
People often leave feeling calmer, lighter and more connected to themselves.
Some notice clearer thinking. Some feel proud. Some feel emotional. Some simply feel like the noise has dropped away for the first time in a long while.
That is the point of the work: not to push you, but to help you feel what is already within you.

The sessions at Human Reconnect are built around three key elements, breathwork, mindset and safe cold exposure.
Each one can help on its own, but the real power comes when they are brought together properly. The breath helps calm the body. Mindset helps you stay steady. The cold gives you a real experience of staying calm under pressure.
This is why the Wim Hof Method became so important to Sue. It was not just another wellness practice. It brought everything together in a way she could feel in her body, not just understand in her head.

Guided breathwork
The breathwork is usually where people notice the first change.
You will either sit or lie down comfortably while Sue guides you through the breathing. You do not need previous experience. You do not need to perform. You just follow the breath and listen to your body.
Breathwork can help quieten the mind, regulate the nervous system and bring you back into your body. For people dealing with anxiety, stress or poor sleep, this can feel like a powerful first step.
